- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I told Dr. Vierra that there was something wrong with my eyes. He refused to refer me to an ophthalmologist and repeatedly assured me it was just normal aging. It wasn't normal aging. It was glaucoma due to a severe vitamin deficiency related to a bowel resection. Dr. Vierra did not have time to concern himself with my medical history. He laughed at my concerns and made light of my complaints. The opthamalogist (not a Kaiser doctor) knew what was going on after reading my medical history. The examination confirmed the diagnosis. Kaiser needs to allow their practitioners enough time to properly care for patients with complicated medical issues. This should not have happened.February 16, 2017by Becky Jacobs
