  I moved to the Big Island about 12 years ago when I got married. When I had my first dental emergency, I tried to make an appointment with my husband's dentist. That practice immediately told me that they were not taking new patients and that if I wanted to make an appointment, it would be 3 months away. I then contacted Dr. Walker's office and he saw me the very same day. From then on, I've been with Dr. Walker all the way! About 2 years ago, when I was in San Diego, I started having excruciating tooth pain (of course on a three day weekend). I called Dr. Walker's office and left a message. He promptly called me back within an hour, on a Saturday, and referred me to his dental school friend who had a practice in San Diego. To make the long story short, Dr. Walker helped me get treated for an emergency root canal procedure in San Diego the very next business day and I was able to enjoy the rest of my vacation. Dr. Walker is very skilled, gentle, and a dentist with a heart. Through the years, I've had multiple root canals, fillings, crowns, braces and even a tooth implant. Some of the treatments were done in collaboration with other doctors through Dr. Walker's referral, but he was always instrumental in overseeing and guiding my treatment plans. He employs the best staff as well. Sierra is a gentle and wonderful hygienist. She makes me actually look forward to my cleaning appointments. And then there is Pua in the office. Pua is so pleasant and efficient, she definitely takes the edge off the pain when you're forking over the credit card. All kidding aside, it is all worth it when you walk out there with a beautiful smile and others compliment you on it.
